Why We Built Makira AI

Makira AI was not born in a boardroom. It was born from frustration, trial, and real entrepreneurial struggle.

We are Mohamed Alshafey (CEO) and Mustafa Alshafey (CTO) — brothers and founders who once ran our own online store. Like many entrepreneurs, we believed that if we built a good product, customers would come. They didn't.

We tried everything. We listed products on our own website. We sold through eBay. We optimized pages, improved listings, and worked day and night. But we discovered a hard truth: Visibility costs more than the product itself.

To get traction on marketplaces, we had to keep increasing spending just to be seen. Marketing costs kept rising, margins kept shrinking, and control over our own growth felt limited. At one point, we were paying nearly double per product just to compete for attention.

We realized the problem wasn't the product. It wasn't effort. It wasn't strategy. It was the marketing system itself.

Small businesses and founders are forced into a cycle where growth depends on constantly paying platforms to reach their own audiences. Marketing had become expensive, manual, unpredictable, and exhausting. That's when the idea behind Makira AI was born.

Mustafa envisioned a smarter way — using intelligent systems to handle marketing like a structured, optimized process instead of endless manual work and guesswork. Mohamed turned that vision into a real product.

We didn't build Makira AI as a tool. We built it as the solution we wished we had. A system that can understand a business, analyze its market, identify its audience, plan full campaigns, execute content and strategy, monitor performance, and improve results continuously — all without businesses being trapped in the traditional marketing cost spiral.
